If you’re expecting and you’re fortunate enough to have some wonderful friends who are throwing you a baby shower, why not let them know that you’d love for it to be a family friendly affair? A baby shower is hardly an appropriate occasion for people to really indulge in cocktail hour, like a wedding shower might be, and daddies should be included in their baby’s shower just as much as mommy, so there’s no reason to only include women at the shower.
Instead, since mommy and daddy are about to become a family, take this chance to celebrate your friends’ families as well. Invite the guys and invite babies and kids as well. Quite often groups of friends end up getting married and having babies roughly around the same time, so there’s a good chance your friends have families and would love to bring them along. Hopefully your shower will be the first of many parties that you and your friends share with all your kids.
