Wedding Color Trends for Summer 2013

If your wedding is set for the summer of 2013, chances are you went into a little bit of panic mode when the calendar page turned over from ’12 to ’13. Well, never fear. Sure, there’s a lot to do between now and the big day, but once you’ve made a few key decisions everything else will fall in place.

You likely have the venue booked by now and possibly have a few vendors chosen. The next thing that might help you envision your special day exactly how you want it is to pick a color theme. The colors of your wedding tie everything together from the bridesmaid dresses to the reception décor and even the invitations and favors. For summer of 2013, a few new color themes have emerged. One beautiful theme is to choose a color and use all different shades of that color throughout the wedding. Blue weddings are very big; you could use all shades of blue for bridesmaid dresses, some deep royal blue in decorations and invitations and some softer blue for lighting and flowers. Monotone wedding themes are big this year; choose one color and use it for everything, such as bright yellow or white – both are hot choices for a color theme right now. Metallic colors are also hot and not just silver, bronze or gold, but metallic purple or green make for gorgeous dresses and incredible tablescapes and décor. Above all, choose a color you love and will love forever.
